eReserve9 is a 20 MW lithium-ion Battery Energy Storage Facility (BESF) located southwest of the community of Hythe in the County of Grand Prairie, Alberta. The facility supports the reliability of the AEIS to ensure consumers’ needs are met. It is located on privately owned and previously disturbed land directly south of the ATCO owned Goodfare 815S Substation.

(Maskwa) was successfully awarded the Engineering, and Environmental Planning & Permitting contract for Enfinite’s eReserve 7&8 (Wapiti 40MW) and eReserve 9 (Goodfare 20MW) Battery Energy Storage Site (BESS) projects. In collaboration with Enfinite, Maskwa worked closely with Valard, AESO and major equipment vendors, to address engineering, construction, and commissioning challenges by implementing solutions as a collaborative project team.”
